27 Paterson Street and 45 Valiant Street, Abbotsford

BBB selected the block at 27 Paterson Street in Abbotsford because of its proximity to the Yarra River, the Convent Arts precinct, the Collingwood Children’s Farm and of course the city. It was a perfect location but a tiny corner block – just 300 m2.

Once again architect Caroline Vernon was asked to design homes for the site. After extensive negotiations with Yarra City Council and neighbours, Caroline presented a design that was both in harmony with the traditional properties nearby and included all the modern amenities expected in a new development.

And the finished homes

The 3.3-meter ceiling, up lights and a built-in gas fire all contribute to the ambience of the lounge.
